WHY BUILDTRAIL EXISTS
It started with one simple realization.
While building my previous SaaS products, I kept sharing progress on X.
New features. Product launches. Revenue milestones. Small wins. Lessons learned.
But after a few weeks, those updates disappeared into the timeline.
If someone discovered my product later, they had no easy way to understand how it evolved or what the journey actually looked like.
I realized something that almost every founder experiences.
We spend months or years building products, but the story behind them ends up scattered across tweets, blog posts, changelogs, screenshots, and forgotten notes.
Social media is great for discovering products, but it's not where startup journeys belong.

Hi, I'm Udit 👋
I'm a software engineer, indie maker, and the founder of BuildTrail.
I love turning ideas into products that solve real problems. Over the past few years I've built SaaS products, worked with startups, participated in hackathons, and spent countless late nights learning what it actually takes to build software people enjoy using.
While building my own products, I noticed something.
Building a product is already difficult.
Sharing the journey consistently is even harder.
That's what inspired BuildTrail.
Today I'm building BuildTrail in public, listening closely to founder feedback, shipping improvements every week, and trying to create the best home for startup journeys.
BuildTrail isn't backed by a large team. Every feature, improvement, bug fix, and conversation with founders helps shape what comes next.
